I'm hoping one of you will be able to give my some info on some old 12ga shells I picked up. A friend's father gave me about a hundred 12ga shells, most of them well over twenty years old still in boxes, two shells real oddballs.
My camera skills are terrible, so a description is the best I can do:
Green cardboard hulls, with a tiger's face and the word "HUNTER" on the side.
At the bottom of the case it says "Made in Hungary", there's a number 12 with a starburst(or sun) on both sides.
I can't quite make out the markings on the primers, looks like the letters "HEOD", followed by either ans asterisk or the Syrilic "backwards forwards K" symbol. Also a small house-like marking on the primer.
I have no plans to shoot these rounds, I'd just like to learn a little more about them. Hope that's not too dumb a description, any info would be appreciated. Thank's all.
