Sabre Defence or Stag?

My decision has come down to these two rifles and now I'm asking for anyone's opinion on which one to purchase. I've read and heard a lot of great things about them but can't decide. Which is the better all around rifle?

Can't say for "better", but for the price/quality, go for a Stag and with the money left, buy ammo.

I'm working on Stag number 3 right now, nothing to do with brand loyalty...they just rock. The 1/9" twist 16.1" stag barrels are very accurate to boot.

I bought a Stag about a month ago, and could not be more impressed. Total quality from the get-go ... paying more would be a classic example of The Law of Diminishing Returns.

It's my first (and last) AR15, and I've been following this rifle's gestation for about 45 years. No kidding ... I'm almost 59 and I started reading gun mags when I was a teen-ager.

"Teen-ager" ... hmmm ... now, there's a word you don't hear too much these days.

Plus, the only Canadian dealer is a good guy. He took a major risk and is now probably making major dollars hand-over-fist. Which is as it should be ... I'm totally fine with that.

The quality is terrific, and the gun (N8CQB upper on regular lower) works flawlessly.

And Walt at Arms East is awesome to deal with.

There is Sabre USA. They just won the latest M16 contract to supply the US government. They beat out Colt and FN.

I shoot a 14.5" Saber Defence and find it one of the finest firearms I've ever owned. Would choose it and its features over any other AR type platform. You get what you pay for with SD.

i have 3 stags, my only complaint is the pinned flash hider on the newer models. i have a older stag to compare it to, it needs to be threaded.
