From 1911 forum, but this is NP48 alluded to by one importer... presumably.

1) Too bad it's a double stack, if it were a single I'd be all over it.

2) Wish they'd lose the lame extended slide stop.

3) Don't like the mag release either but hopefully it is only a screw-on extension.

4) If it goes in the ~ $350 area I might just pick one up, just because.

5) Wonder if it would take a "drop-in" 10mm barrel with the link & pin set up.

6) I can live without forward slide serrations, too.

The extended slide stop would have to go for IDPA ESP Divsion. Gun might work as an entry level of IPSC. I agree would be nicer in single stack.

Take Care

Yeah, I'd rather it was a single stack as well.

What is the point of hi-cap when we are limited to ten rounds anyways.

I'm a lefty and I don't like the look of that mag release, or the snag-ability of the forward serrations.

Otherwise, I'd probably scoop one up...

In the meantime, I think I'd just buy a CZ 75B in .40 S&W.

I disagree, a double stack makes good use of the .40cal size , almost every 1911 made now has forward serrations and you can always replace the slide release. having it in .40cal makes the gun much more affordable to shoot as well.

I will be getting one, but i rather get a Commander.

My NP29 looks the same.....their latest blued finish is pretty good looking.

I have to agree, the finish on my 45 Compact is at least that good, maybe a touch nicer. As has been said elsewhere, the latest Norcs have very nice blueing, and the overall quality is a huge leap from what it was a few years ago.

I was actually refering to the DARK model. Roger sells a great product, but it's approching the price of a Kimber.

Wonder what he's gonna do with the $650 double stack .40 cal when these Norinco ones show up and are in the $400'ish range..... :D

I would take 2!

I really need an Ext. slide release. I have a hard time on my 2 Para P16-40 Limited without changing my grip.
