Could this moose have heard my call? Since Moose here are so few and far between, it's almost unheard of to hear that one has been struck by a car.

Are you sure? In Saskatchewan, you can't just pick it up, you have to get a permit from the CO's. The problem with that is that you can't touch it (clean it) before you get the permit, so it's usually only good for dog food after laying for a few hours.It's against the law to pick up road kill in Quebec.

We live in a residential area which is surrounded by woods. We leave for moose hunting this Friday & I have been practicing my cow calls outside of our house. I let out a call around 7:15 last night, and this morning when I arrived at the end of our street there was a dead bull moose. From what I understand from our neighbour, this moose was hit at around 7:30.
