Ever seen a full stocked Husqvarna?

I've seen two, and couldn't talk the owners out of either one.:D

One was in .270 Win. and it was nice, but the one I really drooled over was in 7x57.

Both were in the Dawson Creek B.C. area. They are scarce, no doubt about it.

I just bought one, and it is on the way. 6.5x55 calibre. The first production models seem to be the 1600 series. The one I bought is an earlier model, but like everything else, custom rifles could be ordered.

It is possible that this is a gunsmith rework, but it really does not matter. This little rifle is going hunting soon. Should be here in a couple of days, and I'll post some pix when I get it.

Saw one two falls ago at the range. The fellows Dad special ordered it from Husqvarna when he lived in Sweden and picked it up from the factory. Chambered in 30 Government it had a 22" barrel. I cannot remember if it was the HVA action or the earlier FN type but I think it was the later. This was the only one I have ever seen with a factory crossbolt for the front lug. A small German silver button on each side. A very nice specimen I was happy to see a Son taking good care of.

Husqvarna has been out of the firearm business for quite a while. Packed it in in 1989. Any rifle you find will be used. Not that that's a bad thing. You just won't find a BNIB Husqvarna with a Mannlicher stock.

What cartridge are you looking for? A CZ with a Mannlicher stock would probably be easier to find, and are great little rifles.

Caliber does'nt really matter. Hmmm.........9.3x62 would be nice or 7x57,6.5x55 for that matter. As for the CZ,well they don't really jump out and say buy me like a HVA or Sako in full stock does.
