Where you getting a conversion in those calibers? Afaik this rifle will be 5.56/6.5/6.8/7.62x39/7.62x51
Those aren't exactly popular calibers in the black rifle crowd.

The rifle you speak of is already out, it's the XCR-L. It's available in 5.56, 6.8SPC, 7.62x39, and hopefully 6.5 Grendel Very soon.
The XCR-M will be made in .308/7.62x51. I am really hoping they will do the same thing and offer caliber conversion options as well. A mag full of 10 .338 rounds would be disgustingly awesome.
With the way delays in a small company affect things, I wouldn't expect to see the XCR-M till July next year.
As far as deciding on 7mm Rem, or 300 Win Mag... I'd just hope the rifle makes it out before 2010, then hope they do conversions. I suspect that thing won't be nearly as easy to convert around due to ammo length and mag issue.
I personally think that the 7.62X39 conversion is screwed up. They should have made a new lower to take AK mag instead of the C-product abomination. But then again, that will make their modulus system not so modulus. Right now, the magzine system is jsut retarded. Tell me how to sit a full loaded curve d30 rd mag into the receiver - the AK mag system makes sense here becasue you cannot smack the mag in to make sure it is fully sat, so it uses leverage to accomplish that!

They will not be doing long case conversions so you can count out the 7mm mag and 300 win mag. You might see them in a rumored XCR-H and possibly 50BMG
. But 300 WSM and 7mm WSM are possible in the XCR-M. But calibers to expect first would be 260rem, 7mm-08, 338 federal, 358win and 243win and Maybe the 6.5 Creedmoor as all you need is a barrel swap.

I wish Wolverine would import some conversion kit options into canada. I'd almost like to find a US exporter willing to do it cheap, get an IIC and do it myself.
As far as 7.62x39 and 6.8 go, I'm happy with 5.56. The 6.5 Grendel is what I REALLY want.

While I know that those calibers will not be offered, I can Dream. And 5 shots of a .338 Lapua just sounds brutal.
I imagine the conversation over it would go something like this:
"You know I have five plus one rounds of .338 Lapua in this gun?"
"Why do you need six shots of .338?"
"Freaking bears man, freaking bears."
I am personally Rooting for an XCR-L with an additional 6.5 mod system. with all the fun I could have with that thing...
As for the XCR Heavy, Imagine a .50bmg or a .408 Wild cat running off one of those. lol, I could reach out and touch people miles away...

I think the 7.62x39 is a waste of time personally. Don't get me wrong, nothin' against the round... but there are so many much cheaper rifles one could buy instead of getting a conversion kit. When I go to buy tools, I don't buy the 6 in 1 multi tool.... I get the specific tool for the specific job. Leave the 7.62x39 to the VZs, SKSs and AKs.
I really like the design of the XCR-M but I've also got my eye on the new Kel-Tec RFB.... and since Robarms is slow on the go with the XCR my money may be diverted elseware. Anyway, it still looks like the XCR and RFB are our best shots at a non-r black rifle in .308.
