Sometimes things just go right.
I was at my new club this weekend, watching my son complete is probation shoots, after he was done while I was waiting for them to call last string I sat down and sent 5 rounds down range. This is my first precision rifle. I got it in 1999, it has 4,000 rounds thru it. It is a stock Rem700 VSS, accurized with a Rifle Basics trigger as the only change, 1:10 twist 26inch bbl. I have not used it much in the last 2 years, as I have moved to the "fancy" 6.5, and 7mm stuff. These loads have been in my safe for 2 years, I pulled them out for my son to use in his probationary shoots. It sure feels good to know that this rifle is still as good as I fondly remember it.
