Anyone here own, shoot, and have an opinion on the Sig X Five Tactical? I think it looks like a perfect fit for me. My main gun I shoot now is an STI Edge .40 and I love this gun. I figure I should own a 9mm to cover my bases and I prefer single action pistols over any other type of action. Any pictures with your opinion of the X Five Tactical would be great.

I actually ended up putting about 700 through it. A very acccurate gun. Nice trigger. The controls aren't very friendly for a lefty like me. It was very reliable when clean, but had a few hiccups when I shot it dirty. Had to sell it to fund something else.... that gun is now gone too.

Got one, put 1000 rounds through her so far, no hiccups and haven't cleaned it except when I first received it. Very accurate to boot! Use to own the original X5, but it was heavy. The tactical is a much better weight and I lost no accuracy from the original $3000 gun to the more affordable tactical version.

How much better (accuracy-wise) than the standard 226R is the X5 Tactical? I'm looking for one now.
 
PM Sent! If you've got the money buy the tactical, if you don't, save up a little more then buy the tactical. It's night and day compared to the standard 226R. Trust me, I've owned many 226's in 9mm.
 
what does it offer other than weight and barrel length over a regular 226R?

not a lot, there are some. but it will require lots of searching,

however, its a wicked gun. i hope to be able to own one , some day.

theres also a new x5 ,that will be available soon, the usa just got the "mastershop" or "customshop" whatever. and theres an x5 lightweight

CHECK IT OUT ! honestly its a few bucks more than the tactical. but you get soooo much more . it comes with nills, and is 2 toned ,also has better sights ,adjustable trigger, and it has a magwell, im not sure what the cost will be in canada, if im wrong or anyone has any info . please chime in. its a real looker. its basically a tactical with the target option also i think its the only other x5 with a alloy frame. but even if its 3-400 more than the tactical .the upgraded options alone i think will make it worth it.
