S&W M&P, CZ, Baretta (all 9mm)

I look to you all for help. I'm torn between these 3 guns, all 3 fit perfectly in my hand, I Can pick up all three for around the same general price give or take a bit, so here is where my request comes in, I"m looking for the pros and cons for all of them to help make a more wise desision when it comes to choosing only one

lots of paper punching and maybe one day IDPA

If this were a poll I'd vote for the M&P. lots of people like the CZ, personally I can't stand the feel of it, but that's just me.
 
You dont have Glock as a option:)It would be my choice.
I have owned 2 of the three you mentioned and i always went back to my Glock.
 
I've owned both the CZ and the M&P. I owned and sold both, the only one I rebought (within months) was the M&P. They are both good guns, the Baretta has never really interested me (92/M9). Personally I really like the M&P. I'm over 5,000 rounds through the two combined and haven't had a single issue. It shoots better than me and the felt recoil is soft enough that it's easy to accurately shoot at very high speed. It's what I did choose (for days when I'm not shooting a 45)
 
Check IDPA Rule Book for which division you wanna try since there are weight and dimension limits in say SSP.
SP-01 in my eyes is a better pistol than M&P and Beretta; AND with right mods can make 39oz for SSP.
 
I have a 92FS Inox and M&P and love both, Beretta is 100% reliable, accurate well made quality gun, a work of art that can take some abuse basically. M&P is nice but it's more of a tool.
 
For what is a fairly large gun, the 92's grip fits my small hands remarkably well. The highly rounded corners just feel really comfortable. The M&P doesn't quite fill my hand as well but the controls are easier for me to reach and I really like the ability to adjust the backstrap. I do have my eye on a 92FS Inox, if I ever scrape up the funds...

In the long run, you'll probably end up getting all three guns anyway. :D
 
I have a CZ 75 and I love it. I also like the M&P and I plan on buying one in the near future. The one thing I don't like about the M&P it you cant fire it with out a mag in it. I have no idea why as I don't plan on shooting it with out the mag but it just bugs me :runaway:
 
Must be a safety feature.
Also, if you consider competing, make sure the gun you pick out has mag-drop-free feature where pressing on mag release button you get the mag fall out the gun on it's own.

Certain models are not equipped with the mag safety. My M&P45 is capable of firing with the mag removed.:)
 
I had the same list. Still working on it as I decided they would all be good so why not get them all over the long term. I ended up starting with the MP. If I could only have one that's where I'd start. Great start and I find it's still my fav in good company. I would add a sig to that and there you go!

I thought it would bug me too, but it didn't. Actually it really is irrelevant to me now. Definetly don't let this sway you.
 
I just wanted to thank you all for your posts this has been verry interesting and informative I'll post the pics of my final desision when I get it in.
 
M&p

hi 2LABS,

I had an M&P 9, currently have a CZ 75B and a CZ Shadow. put a couple of thousand rounds through both, each without a hiccup. I wanted to sell one to finance another toy, ended up selling the M&P
MISTAKE!
fortunately it was sold to a friend that competes with me, and i have watched my M&P consistently outperform in the reliability dept. every firearm i have seen, including my own CZ shadow.
the trigger on the M&P just gets better and better, when i use it i am much more accurate than with the 75B.
the only experience i have had with the beretta is handling one. it felt like a real club to get out of the holster and into my hand right, so that gun was out.
i am thinking of trading my 75B towards an M&P45.
