300wsm

What are your referring to as everywhere? Gunshops yes, Canadian tire NO

But then Canadian Tire only stocks about 5 or 6 different calibers anyways, 270WSM and 300WSM are not going anywhere. They are here to stay.

For you guys who have used both the 300wm and 300wsm.......any difference in preformance, other than recoil?

factory ammo has the same velocity. handloaded the win mag can exceed the wsm by 100 or more fps. the larger case will always win the speed race.

Not to mention a larger selection of bullet weights. The only selling points of the WSM is a short action and a shorter powder column. I'll be buying the old .300 when I get a bigger .30.

Our Canadian Tire stocks .300wsm...

I don't think the one here in Vancouver does.... but they really don't stock much here.. I am sure any larger Crappy tire will stock them... I had both the 300WSM and the 300 WM. I prefer the WSM because of handloading, because it lacks the belt. I find any brass easier to resize without the belt.

Our CT is the largest in Canada, and they have alot of buying power, but they don't use it much on the ammo line. They do stock quite a bit of Kent and Federal shotshells and the like...

FWIW, I don't find the belted cases any different to resize than the WSM. Not that there is a ton of feeding issues with the WSM, but the .300WM would avoid most of those to begin with...
