scope choice..which would ya take

Both are NIB..Leupold Rifleman 2-7x33 or a Burris FFII in 3x9-40 ballistic plex ....just mulling over some ideas here

both are good. i would take either one that fits your needs best. i have both and the glass is better on the burris. move up to a vx11 and the leup is the winner

I'd choose the Burris over the Rifleman. But a VX-1 would be closer to the quality of the Burris. A VX-2 a little better.

I have a Burris on my 375 and I am very happy with it, oh yeah and it has been through a very rough collision with some newbies head and still shoots dead on.

The Burris Fullfield II with ballistic plex. The glass on mine is excellent. Also the ballistic plex reticle is fairly nice. It's a quality product. Mine could give a VXIII a run for the money in terms of brightness. The light transmission is 95% which is right up there with the top of the line models. You can find them for $200 if you look and are willing to deal. An excellent value and a very good scope.

I had mine on a Ruger 10/22. But since it doesn't have AO I moved it to my Winchester M70 243WSSM. It worked perfectly. An excellent hunting scope.

Keep in mind this scope was never designed as a "tactical" scope. It's a hunting scope.

burris must be sent state side. that said was quick and painless waurenty. no asking for proof of purchace just send and we will look after it. not as quick as leup but much faster than bushnell.

Burris. I love mine and spent a few months contemplating the exact chooses you mention. I chose the ballistic plex.

i kept the burris...I put it on my 300 mag...the 2-7 was nice but I didn't find all that much of a difference in optical clarity between the 2..maybe the Burris a slight bit better,but I opted for the 3-9 power in case of longer shots being needed

The burris has slightly better glass (actually better coating) than a rifleman.
The burris is a 1/4" positive click adjustment, rifleman has (i think) friction turret adjustments.

That said, I've had both and preferred the rifleman 2-7x33. I found the rifleman eye relief to be less critical, and faster to find the target than the burris FFII 3-9x40.

I think it's a given that Leupold warranty is the better of the two.
