Trap and Skeet, one gun?

beretta 686e

As was stated earlier I think any gun with an adjustable comb should do the trick. Not sure there is really any need for a specialized shotgun until you get up to the elite levels anyway.

Like Cat said...lots of guys have done pretty damn good shooting an 870 or whatever they have.

i was in ur exact situation a few months back, and was advised to go with a sporting gun... i got a beretta 686E with adjustable comb, 30" barrels, and it's doing great with me in both ranges... i'd fully recommend this specific gun with all my heart and mind... however, if u don't see it your gun, you can go for any other gun with simillar configuration... 30" barrels, adjustable comb...

good luck

...one gun for Trap, Skeet (and Sporting Clays)...

....one Perazzi Mirage, two barrel sets, two butt stocks, two trigger groups.....with a lot of 7/8 ounce ammo, of course....

The K-80 is a very solid foundation for the gun you ask about, it should not be compared to a Buick, etc.My Kreighoffs have never let me down, and i would compare with BMW or Mercedes or some such. Spending a little extra on a gun like the k-80 means that when you get good and you will, you won't have to change guns 'cause yours is worn out. If you shoot for many years you will probably spend as much on inferior guns.

Actually.... I wasn't "comparing it to a Buick". I suggested that at the Kreighoffs price point it should come with a Buick. After all a Kreighoff is only a Perazzi wanna be anyway. :)

Kreighoff= German precision
Pizzarezi= Italian...remember the Carcano? As long as you can drop the gun on the ground, change sides(allies), and the gun still fires, it's okay!! Remember who fought the battles for the Italians(Germans). 'Nuff said!

According to one Italian firearms rep, both the English and the germans build fine fireams - as fine as the Italians.
HOWEVER, neither nationality knows how to dress either themselves or their firearms!!
That is where the Italians excell, they build a fine shotgun AND know how to make it look good!!:D
Hey, not my words, just passing someone else's along!:redface:

"Nuff said" Hardly!! You forget about Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati, Beretta, Benelli, etc.etc. After all the War has been over for years...

my dad was manitoba -sask trap and skeet champ 50-51 or 2 something like that - i'd have to dig out his shooting jacket to see for sure what years- his gun- remington 31 pump with t&s barrel( i believe) and a full choke - the metal crest is nailed to the stock- he was a man of little means, but it just proves it's not the gun

Kreighoff/Perazzi, Ford/Chev, Blonde/Brunette ... that's what makes a horse race. You pays your money and takes your pick !

I prefer red heads that drive Ferrari's and shoot Perazzi's. I am still searching...... :cool:
