Should I trade in my G17 for a G22?

The .40 is a snappier round (higher pressure).
Glocks do NOT offer full case support. This is not an issue with virgin brass but does become an issue with "reloads". Glocks are known to not like reloads and can give you problems.

If you must reload for sake of economy, I would reload the 9mm as the cases will probably last a lot longer compared to the .40's.

That's what I don't get... maybe some can explain it to me.

The pressures (CUP) listed for 9mm are much higher than those for .40S&W, but everyone says that the 9mm (the cartidge itself, in ANY platform) is much less likely to KB! due to its lower pressure. How does this translate? I know it does, but I am missing a part of the equation. What is it about the .40S&W that makes it a 'higher pressure round' than the 9mm despite it's listed pressures being lower?

Is it ONLY the fact that the 9mm case is proportionally thicker the closer it gets to the case head or is there another factor?
