I noticed one of our supporting dealers has Glock 17's for $599.00!. Your total with tax would be $676.87! Not a bad price for a new gun, 2 mags, cleaning rod, instruction book, case etc! I notice there are members on here, trying to sell used one's for more than that, and not the origanal case, or cleaning rod, or instruction book. Wha....Some people's kids. I guess most anyone wanting to buy a Glock, would be better off buying new, if the people selling used are asking $600.00 plus! Is it just me, or does anyone else notice used ones for sale, are crazy prices? Some members complain about dealers charging too much, but I see more members in the EE selling pistols for more than new cost. So anyone wanting a Glock, now would be the time to buy NEW!!!! Unless you can get a good price on the EE! I have seen Gen 2's on the EE for more than new price! I sure wish I had some cash right now! I would buy a new one in a second!:D

I noticed at a couple of gun stores that the price of glocks have gone up in price because of the american dollar. Has anyone else noticed this?

Well I have not noticed any yet, but if anyone is interested in buying one, now would be the time, before they all go back up. They will go back up, as our Canadian dollar is down again.

One reason is that alot of guys bought their Glocks a years ago and don't know the current prices. They may have paid $700 or $800, so knocking it down to $500 or $600 used doesn't seem unreasonable to them if they haven't looked at prices lately.

The other issue is that most of the cheap new Glocks don't come with night sights. Alot of the used ones will have this, which would justify a slightly higher price. I'd gladly pay $50 extra for a gun with Trijicons rather than over $100 to put them on myself.

people tend to want a price similar to what they paid for it and recover the costs. i remember i bought my G22 new back in december '06 for $766 (with military discount from policeordnance), since then, theyre offering all in for about 600. the prices have dropped a lot, and people arent necessarily happy bout the depreciation (albeit...how can u not appreciate a glock? theyre awesome!). I agree that id rather buy a new glock than one from the EE..just because of how the costs have dived. hope thsi provided some insight

Well Tigherdirect announced that they are re-working their prices over the next couple weeks because of the slide in the Dollar... So I expect there will be a number of price hikes in the next weeks... 15% change in the rate is hard to absorb

$599 will only get you a base model as well...factory night sights are an extra $100 or so.

Heres a kicker for yah though.....how about subcompact Glock 9mm on consignment in a shop for $1850?!?!?!?!? That guy is out to lunch.
