Remington Model R-15

Unfortunately the government knows an AR variant when they see it.

There might be a possible case to be made citing the AK variants and the exception that is made for the Valmet but I'd be very surprised if it would fly.

If this rifle were unrestricted I'd buy one instantly.

It's an AK-47 with a checkered stock and "hunter" in the name. Please describe how your would go about getting it ruled non-prohibited.

If it worked for an evil baby killing AK, there is NO reason why it can't be done for an AR. It's just a matter of someone actually going for it. The case law/precident exists...who is going to use it?

Given the amount of logic, technical detail, and common sense in our gun laws it's entirely possible that this rifle could be made non-restricted. That would actually make MORE sense than the SVD Dragunov being prohib as an AK variant.

Not to start anything, but I actually think the sarcasm is very evident in this post.

Either way, the INTENDED message of the post is VERY relevant to our gun laws, and says something about the practicality of the Canadian Government, eh?

I would definately leave it as is because it would be my coyote gun...

OK been to busy to do anything yet but will be seeing my MP in the next couple of weeks think it's time we went for a mug up and talked coyote hunting.

Was in Reliable today and asked if they had any info I could hand over but they only had the one Remington catalogue so I'll have to print something off the net.
