Browning T-Bolt - Which Would You Buy??

Target/Varmint - Synthetic or Wood stock. They are both appealing, I'm trying to find out from some of you T-Bolt owners which is more accurate, if there is any difference. Of course, I'm talking about the "new" T, introduced by Browning in the last year or so. Would appreciate feedback please and thanks.

Some Answers on Wood

I've rec'd positive comments on the wood stock. I'm trying to find anyone who has purchased the synthetic version. What is Browning "snythetic" like - hard, brittle, softer than most, etc. I haven't had a chance to touch and feel the synthetic version and want to get some feedback.

Any of you guys have other Browning rifles, newer models in synthetic. I would think it would be the same???

The stainless Target/Varmint in grey laminate looks great. I am just wondering about accuracy and the fact that many on RFC complain about the trigger.

I like the look of this one the best

5 1/2 lbs is still pretty light... The guys on rimfire central seem to be happy with them!

Finally Got One

Bought the T-Bolt Varmint. Love the wood, fit, finish and balance. Right off the get go I was shooting 10 rounds into a ragged hole at 50 yards.

The T-Bolt is quick and easy to operate with one finger, lets you get a lot of quick shots off. I'd recommend one. Regards the plastic trigger, it's not a problem with me on my rifle, I adjusted the weight down to the lightest setting and it works just fine.

Buy one, you'll like it.

It's Worth It

Actually $619 from WSS. Now that was based on rifles they had in stock when the exchange was at par. At that time they had 3 of the varmint in stock. Anyways, it's on the higher end of the rimfire pricing but not anymore so that a CZ453, Ruger 77/22, etc., and certainly less than Annies, Coopers, etc.

Anyway, I'm impressed with the accuracy.

Find an original T-Bolt there out there and cheaper priced and quality built just like there old FN's,Sako's, mine will nail beer caps standing at 80 yards with the factory peep sight all day long, and there is no plastic crap on these guns, steel magazines, excellent wood ,fit and finnish.U cant beat these Belgium made guns. I have one of these .22LR, the heavy barrel is very manageable and the look is fantastic. Trigger feels great as does the stock. Took 14 grouse last year, off hand, most of them up in trees. Love this rifle, definite keeper out of a large collection. You will be happy with one.

+1. For the price new T-Bolts go for, plastic parts are not acceptable.

The proof is in the pudding... There's a ISSF match in Granby on June 27-28...

Anybody been able to nail beer caps standing at 80 yards with the factory peep sight all day long... can certainly win the 3P free-rifle match, since the targets are at only 50M and the 10 ring is 10.4 MM

Heck, I won't ask for 10's, if you can keep all your shots in the 9 ring (which is wooping 26.4 MM...) I'll gladly pay you entry fees!

Hey I'm looking at buying one with the synthetic stock because I don't like the gouges you get in the wood when you're out gophering.
You say the accuracy is good eh? Is that with a heavy barrel or a regular one?
I didn't know the trigger was adjustable, but I suppose that should surprise me since it is on the new X bolts.
