Stolen Bow and Gun Alert- UPDATE gun recovered!!!

You should get an alarm for property defense a 240 pound Rottweiler oh no wait we can't we would be held up for liability Thanks to UN-updated legislation crooks have more right then us honest people.

with regards to all the stolen blind, stand, trailcam posts -- its a real shame we dont have laws like Texas. would open up a totally new category of 'hunting' :D

not shoot them outright, mind you... more like 'catch and release'. a load of rock salt, bean bag rounds or wooden dowels from a 12ga. would be a powerful teaching tool.

tree stands, blinds, trail cams would no longer be considered loot, but rather 'bait' :D

I remember how angry I was the last time my car got broken into. I wanted to sit out in the shadows of the front porch all night with a bat, waiting for the ####ers to come back. I know it doesn't make sense, but that's how I felt at the time.

i think everyone feels like that.
at least for me, the baseball bat in the bushes thing sounds exactly like what i was imagining. theyre not worth it though - in Canadian law you wouldnt be seen as a hero but as a much bigger criminal than the guy breaking into peoples cars/homes. a real shame how 'civilized' we are getting.

I sure do right now. I have an empty bow case i was thinking about using as bait, but i suppose then i would be actively hunting criminals, and could no longer plead self defense.

On the other hand, if you want the police to attend the scene, tell them not to come, you've "taken care of it."

One of the guys i talked to, after this happening, had a scumbag attemting to steal his wifes car. He called the police, and an hour later they returned his call, no officer ever attended. The next time, he spotted a ####rat attempting to get into his garden shed. He phoned the police and told dispatch what had happened. When she told him an officer would be calling, he said "No, I don't need to talk to an officer, just give me the coroner's number, i want to know if they would like him de-boned":D

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. I really liked that "de-boning" thing. I bet that'd get the cops there in a hurry.
I was lucky when my truck got broken into in that I didn't have anything of worth in there. All they took was a bottle of Tylenol, losers.
Really too bad about your stuff. I hope you get it back and nail the S.O.B.'s
that sniped it. Maybe you could sweeten up the bow case with a little bit of lure; they must sell "a**hole attractant" down at the local sport shop. You'd probably need to check the regs for the legalities around baiting though.
And I second the rock salt idea; nothing like a festering wound in the butt that prevents one from sitting, standing, walking or lying down to keep a thief out of commission.

I've had my vehicles broken into so many times I don't leave ANYTHING in them anymore. Small town Manitoba isn't even safe anymore. I never lost a gun but I lost my pack with ALL of my tools for work, my stereo system $1200+, sunglasses and everything in the glove box, they took it all. Insurance, receipts, safety, registration plus crap I had in there. I guess for possible identity theft. Now I have nothing but floor rugs in my truck unless I'm in it.

Sorry man, hate to kick someone that's been kicked ,,,,, but,,, um, he's got a point.
If i'd have left my 50 in the car and it got snagged, can you imagine the explaining i'd have to do when they find out a rifle capable of punching holes in a brinks truck is on the street ??
I'm always very perticular about emptying the truck out, I'm sure Murphy knows my address if I'd have ever left stuff in the car it would have gotten stolen for sure,,,,, just my luck.

ya it sucks all the way around
i agree and disagree

being robbed is a sick feeling, especially stuff that means so much to you, but what can you do ---- dont wear that Rolex or drive that Corvette or have anything nice from your hard work cause someone will do you in --- dont live in a big house, dont have guns, dont have a farm with gas tanks, .......dont , dont, dont, .....

all because a few aholes do what they want with no ill effects ----- where does it end? We never ever locked the house in small town Alberta where i grew up (not THAT long ago) Now locks, dogs. alarms --- for what?

Man that really sucks!! It's sad but there is no justice either. You will never get your stuff back... but then you know that too...

Everybody leaves stuff in their vehicle at times, even it's a pit stop at the gas station, where you are only gone 5 minutes that could happen, so I say BS to the guys that say it cannot happen!!

I hate leaving anything in my vehicle!!

A 'visitor' to our lake, Labour Day weekend, decided he needed to 'borrow' some gas out of a neighbours boat. The ####### decided that the owner of the boat didn't need the cap for the tank (which he couldn't replace) and tossed it in the lake.

Pricks are everywhere.

zombie crack heads are taking over. If we don't take matters into our own hands then nothing anywhere will be sacred. Police can't or won't do anything about petty theft. So why can't we protect our property by all means nessesary?

If I can't have constant visual contact with my vehicle at the gas pumps I lock it when I go in to pay. If there's a rifle in there it's automatically locked. I've been working with criminals for 19 years so I guess I might be a little paranoid.

Well i called the officer investigating my case, and had him check into recovered property from a raid that took place a coule weeks ago. Low and behold, my 22 was there, as well as a box full of ammo. Once the court procedure is through, i get the irreplaceable 22 back:dancingbanana: If only they hadnt stuck that big ugly evidence sticker on the stock.

A thieves must hang...The problem is not solves by a slap on the wrist but buy severing the wrist.

N'ah. Rapists and diddlers need be hung!

Theives.....take them in your garage (ductaped), and then put their hand on the workbench and ask them which finger they want removed.

Remove the other one!

If theif refuses to choose, cut the thumb off.

Tell them the next time, it's their phuckking hand.

Exactly that!!

YAYA Foxer, I know the whole "vigilante" debate... ;)

Seriously. The guy WILL think twice about ripping stuff off again...

Give him religion because the law won't!!
