I am looking to make a trade for a new 257 wby magnum mark V ultralight with a Zeist 3xpx40 conquest scope.

I am offering the following as a down payment

Used 12 guage remington wingmaster pump -good condition
Used Tikka T3 300 Min Mag with a new Luepold v-II scope on it(3x9)
Used a 20 guage remington G3 semi auto with an assortment of chokes. Mint Condition used very little ( 3 boxes of lead.).

Shoild the scopes cancel each other out? Are the three guns worth the Weatherby at 1600.oo

Scopes - no. Zeiss new is worth around $450 more than a used VXII. Guns? Pretty close - you might have to chip in up to $300. All depends on how "used" I guess, which 870 it is, which VXII it is, scruples of the seller and how bad you want the W'by!

Look around, locally, for the availability and cost of the Weatherby ammo before you trade 3 guns and cash for one rifle. .257 Weatherby Mag runs $49.99 per 20 with a 100 grain Hornady PSP-EX at Wholesale Sports. Twice what the .300 Win Mag costs.

The Luepold scope is new and was mounted by the dealer. The 2 shotguns are in mint. Saying that I would prolly throw in the 300.oo. Im on a weatherby kick and want what I want like a kid lol and I want to empty my storage. Thanks for the input. It is appreciated.:)QUOTE=sbtennex;2597464]Scopes - no. I know. :-( I bought 6 boxes the other day. They were charging over 70.oo for partitions a few weeks ago. I will have to reload after I get enough brass. Saying that a day at the range that costs $300.oo with the 257, 7mm, 45/70 and .204 is cheaper that vacationing, maintaining a cabin, chasing women or drinking and stinking. I am addicted to velocity. I have a tikka 7mm rem mag and a sendero 7mm rem mag as well as a 7mm wby mag mark V which will have to suffice for moose.I do need to start reloading though. I will eventually only have 3 calibers to reload for (7mm rem mag, 257 wby mag, 7mm wby mag).
