IPSC World Shoot - Bali, Indonesia

Ok, so I'm hearing rumors already. If anyone on the ground can clarify, that would be great - Apparently Dave B's luggage didn't make it and something about Don and Clint getting run out of China en route with thier guns left in lockup there????

Tell me its not so Sean, curt and I are at the airport in Taipai for 6 more hours,we arrived 2315 local time so did not check firearms with police. Customs checked them in security storage and now we just need our airline handler to come with us for claiming, no more security checks.........
We hope:(

You're in Taiwan, where I assume things might be more relaxed.
You should fare fine. Good Luck anyway, though... :)

Clint and Don have made it to Bali

Clint and Don have made it to Bali with guns, we just don't know how much it cost them?

Well, we (IPSC shooters) are definitely getting noticed... I just got a call from Japan Airlines asking me to remind Canadian Competitors to contact the airline and tell them they're travelling with guns before they go to the airport.

I told them our people should know better and it's probably too late - most of them have already gone.

She's calling USPSA next... :D

I was, uhm...."detained" due to the airline not accurately describing just exactly what I was bringing with me on the documentation they submitted to Customer Services in Hong Kong. I'm going to be arriving a day late and will be missing the opening ceremonies now.

day 1

getting ready to head to range to shoot. It is pouring down rain so morning squads are likely to run late. Yang showed up just in time for opening ceremony. we were just walking in as he ran up. LOL

Everybody looks pumped, no one down will travel trots as far as I know. Will post report tonite after we get back.

cheers from Bali

end of first day. I am exhausted and have to be up at 4:30, so this will be short. The rain did cause delays and so the squads in my area all were stopped with one more range to go. So they will try to run us through before the scheduled morning squad arrives, then we go off to shoot in our designated area.

Not sure about the standard team, the production team is having some small issues and the open team is about the same. The match issue ammo is neat, world shoot logo on it. But some competitors are having issues with it.

stages are not fancy, at least so far, but reasonable teats of shooting ability

but it is very hot snd humid. I am falling asleep so will continue tomorrow.
