I have a Colt 1877 41 thunderer ? that I am thinking of selling ,but have no idea of it Value. It has the 3.5 inch barrell. The gun is Nickel plated and is around 90 % on the gun with just a bit of the finish missing at the end of the barrell, the cylinder has around 60 % of the nickle remaining. The bore is very good with sharp rifleing and some very minor pitting. The grips are the original Gutta percha ? with the colt logo still like new and the checkering shows very little if any wear. on the left side of the barrell (Colt D.A. 41) is still clearly etched. It also is in perfect mechanical condition, feels just like new when you #### it, using one of my new smiths for comparison. Any one have an idea of a value?

I'm going to say without seeing it $1800.00 if its as nice as you say

Theres one on GB with a Buy it now of $1400 or so.
Its been listed for Awhile tho.
With our Dollar going in the Crapper importing SUCKS.

The Gun on GB Sounds just like your gun with the Missing Nickle on the 3.5 inch barrels end.
They range in price from $800 up to over $2000.

Ive never been able to get more than $1300 for any i sold on CGN tho.
The Caliber is not as Popular as some.
Condition is the main factor in price.

Post some pictures. :) thats the Best if your gona sell it you will or sould post Pics.

If you now have it off-paper, do the collecting world a great favo(u)r and refuse to sell it in canada- export to the US is simple, as it's just a "Curio & Relic" now. That way, it's likely to outlive you, rather than be sacrificed to the Liberals idea of "safety".......Your Long Gun Registry will never go away, never mind small-arms.....Remember well: in no case worldwide ever has registration NOT been followed by confiscation!

Oh Ya thats the Ticket

A curio and Relic eh! Funny i thought in the USA you need a C&R Licence for that.
But being as its a ANTIQUE it is not a C&R gun.

If you Know so much about gun laws you would think you would know that.:slap:

You obviously don't know your history as Canada has had and scrapped at least two registries with no confiscation following. Oh yeah right I forgot you all were too busy being isolationists, selling steel to the nazis and staying away from the bosch to have noticed.

I see your writing from the south anywhere near where the national guard was confiscating little old ladies purse guns during Katrina.

Does'nt matter anyway as I understand disposable income is a little tight down your way so it would'nt sell too quick. Why buy a 1000 dollar gun when you can buy a whole house for the same . LOL

Sorry nessy but it is the perogative of the winner to make sure the yanky republicans don't get upitity enough again to think they know the Queens intentions.

It simply takes to much energy to put them in place after the damage is done. My land grant was traded for an infalliable commitment to defend the crown from the great unwashed from the south. No one has reniged on the land so I aint given up on my end. You really can't expect to find much symapthy for republican propaganda in the PB era can you? Go over to Black rifles if you want to welp at the tit of indian killers and imperialists. LOL.

Remember there are still rafters in this country which hold Bess's left to thier owners by the crown.

Lest we Forget the crackle of yanky timber as General Ross is mourned in his finest hour........

Possibly after Obama gets elected you should start looking over your shoulder Rossguy.... on a regular basis. The revolver will hold it's value as antiques always do. Post it on the EE here and watch it disappear. Some poor Canadian will buy it.

LOL, I just made the connection between 'ROSSguy and history LOL. I am sure he is named after the Rifle not, not the last man to burn Washington. It is still funny though.

Nasty does not seem as bad when it is clever and funny.

Our long term choices as canadians is to either accept that at least a small scale war over resources with the US is inevitable or we can just lie back and let them take whatever they want. It is nice to know David that at least one person does not want to lie back and try to enjoy it.
