Been about 4 years since we have been drawn for an adult tag. Not happy about that, but we're stuck with it. My wife and I have hunted together for the last 20 years or so.

Anyway, this year, after the long dry spell, she got drawn for a bull in our home WMU, and four days later, I got drawn for the Northern Ontario draw, and was issued a cow tag for the same WMU. Opening weekend was a huge wash -- terrible rain and wind.

So this past Tuesday, my wife and I went to an area we had scouted and there was some good sign. We came across this fella, and she laid it down on the first shot. It was 60 yards distant, dropped at the shot, stayed down, and was basically dead by the time we walked the distance to it.

It is her fist bull. She has killed a cow previously.

Technical stuff:

Rifle: Ithaca LSA 65
Cart: 30-06
Bullet: 150 Barnes TSX
Scope: Burris FF-II 3-9x40

Looking forward to the tastiness of it all.

Another couple were in the area and helped us immeasurably with loading it in the truck.

Here it is!

Hey preacher, I think I saw that pic on another site.

There's absolutely no way a woman can handle a .30-06 or that a 150 grain bullet could kill a moose....no way! ;);)

Congrats on what looks like a fine hunt!
