opening day- foiled before it arrives!!!!!

I was all set to head to camp Sunday am, and take Monday off from work in hopes of putting a nice eating buck in the freezer on opening day. Just got a call from the moving company that they're arriving "sometime on Monday" to deliver a bunch of furniture. I can't see thropugh the air in my office thanks to the smoke pouring out of my ears!!!!

Hold off on the furniture - GO HUNTING !

You only have a week or two the whole year to hunt deer - you can move any time....

Let the smoke clear so you can see all your options.

Medical emergency, family emergency... Do what it takes to get out, heck, dollars to donuts they have you waiting around most of the day for nothing!!!

Tell them you can't be there monday (insert reason here) and say tuesday will have to do...

Seriously - you're paying them, monday is not a good day, the furnture isn't going to disappear and their company isn't going to collapse if they have to wait a day to deliver.

Please, don't tempt me. The whole Inlaw hoard out in Ontario- who have sent the furniture- all know what I was supposed to be doing on Monday. If I'm not there, there will be zero understanding. Funny, I've always gotten along very well with them until now!!!

If its a moving company why do you have to be there? Can't your wife point and tell them were to put the stuff.

Just got a call from the driver- he wants to unload this afternoon. Normally I'd be pissed that he gave me 4 hours notice, but this means I can scurry off to camp after all.
