Not only are they prohibited here in Canada, I don't think the US sells them to civilians unless you are LEO/MIL.
yeah I think they are Europe only as well.
Not sold here, but not prohib. by any stretch. No idea why they are not sold here.
One would think, most of the other 380s are useless. The only exceptions I can think of are the Berettas and Walthers
Why would it be prohibited in the US? It's the same size as a g19 but not as powerful.
it's also a blowback design.
There's no shortage of imported .380s available in the States.the G25 does not have enough 'points' to be imported into the US as a 'sporting firearm'. the biggest thing it has against it is the .380ACP caliber... weird but true. it's also a blowback design.
not necessarily. the Glock Simunition pistols use a blowback design that does not incorporate a fixed barrel design. not having seen a Glock 25 in person, i can't say if it does have a fixed/non-fixed barrel, but if it is similar in design to the Simunition guns (which i have used and cleaned), it wouldn't be hard to make a blowback .380ACP Glock without a fixed barrel. If it is a blowback, then the barrel would most likely be fixed, making it inherently accurate.
yup, but most of those .380ACPs have certain features added to make enough points to be importable to the US. things like adjustable sights, target grips, target triggers, safety devices, etc... the US enacted this particular law to keep the cheap 'Saturday Night Specials' (ironically, most were made in the US) out of the country. in fact, the subcompact Glocks needed to be imported initially with grooved 'target triggers' to be able to make enough points. There's no shortage of imported .380s available in the States.
