I'm thinking of getting a .45acp pistol. I already have a 1911 and I like it but I would like one of those high tech polymerpistols
Choices are:
USP 45
HK45
Glock 21
Not sure what to choose since they all look good

I've had a USP 45 and a USP 45 Tactical. I like them a lot and theres a couple of pretty good deals on USP 45's in the ee right now.

The HK 45 is really nice. If/When I can afford one I will definitely pick it up.

I'd go for the USP. HK45 is nice, but not worth the $600 premium over the USP IMO. Glock/S&W are much cheaper pistols and can't really be compared to HK.

The HK USP 45 is an excellent gun but if you have small hands forget it. I have a .40 USP and I find it even a bit too big for my hands. The .45 is quite a bit fatter. In terms of quality, HK is fantastic but a little pricey. I bought the Glock 21 SF and I am very happy with it. Great shooter and a lot cheaper than the HK. I would like to see HK bring out the HK45C with a Canadian legal barrel. That's something I would definitely be all over in a heart beat. ( We can only dream )

I kinda lean away from the polymer frame for a .45ACP myself. If I was to go to a non 1911, double stack style it would be the CZ 97.

You're used to the size of a 1911. The USP is big. I mean BIG. You might want to hold off buying one until after you've held one. Sizewise, the G21 is of a more-manageable and more-familiar size.

Springfield armory XD45 ? no one said it yet?

edit.

never mind, went over your post a bit too fast.

USP45 sounds great. I've shot the .40 and its a decent gun.

They are actually about the same size and neither is fatter than a typical double-stack pistol in my experience.
