so i just got an M141/M305 and it's my first carbine, i really like it and want to start working on it a bit (can't wait for a clinic near montreal "hint hint";))

for now i got a usgi fiberglass stock so it's my first mod on it, got it from Fabsport, and filled the selector cut-out with the guide on the forum, prepped it, sanded it quite a bit to make as smooth as possible

there was actually a swastika engraved on it so i filled it

and finally painted it with krylon fusion olive drab paint
i know it's nothing special but i'm proud of it and i know people like to see pics!

Nice job! I hope my norc stalk project turns out that well.

"swastika engraved on it"! I would have returned it to Fab.

i only had the chance to try out in an indoor range up to 50 yards with irons
so far im really pleased with it, will be trying it this week outside on a longer range

the indexing of the barrel seems good and after i inspected it with all the guides available on this forum i can confidently say that i got one of the good ones!

he is close to me and i actually had the chance to inspect all of the stocks he had, it was lightly engraved and didn't see it at first, plus for everything else it was one of the nicest ones he had so thats why i chosed it

nice paint job!
here's mine sans paint but with G.I. goodies--some,i think, quite rare...

i tried the muzzle brake attachment out today...friggin' sweet!
perceived recoil is really low,i'd say about .223 recoil...

ya, i got that winter trigger a long time ago:
i clips onto the rear of the trigger guard and is a "no gunsmith" mount.
it has a slot that locks into the trigger guard tab.

hi imbane:

i got it from the same place(i think)i got the winter trigger from:

a gun show around MTL. many years ago.

both the winter trigger and muzzle brake are usgi(i'm sure of the trigger as i have the original package...

back then that stuff was pretty easy to find--not now i'm afraid...
