My 12 Y/O Daughter's First Deer!

Writing this as a mighty proud Papa! My 12 Y/O daughter took her first white tail ever last night, 20 minutes before last light. Shot with a CVA Wolf 50 cal with Hornady 45 cal 300 gr SST ML and 1x 50 gr Triple Seven pellet from approx 50 meters. Deer dropped right where he was standing (Way to go!), bullet went through both shoulders and kept on going. Real special moment, for sure. Funny, when she saw this guy walk into the field, she could hardly contain her excitement and started giggling quietly. I sure am proud of you Pal!

Congrats to both, I remember clearly when my kids got their 1st deer.

Better hide that pic though, being a girl she'll probably choke you for passing it around :p
 
The smile says it all. I must admit to getting the giggles when the deer come out of the timber and walk by you at 20yds.
Great to see the next generation getting out. Hannah has another 7 years to go, that will be a great day when she can pack that 250 Savage for a Whitetail.

Thanks for all the kind words guys and gals! She's been shooting with me since she was 6 years old. I had been looking forward to that moment for a long, long time. Sure is a great feeling!

Ha, that's what my daughter shot her's with, a nice original 1899 Sav .250 :)
