Introducing the HK PSG-8!

OK not really but...

It finally came in the mail today, and damn is it nice. I am honestly speachless, the quality is on par with the factory stock and handling is soo much better then the thumbhole for those of us with smaller hands.

I promised pics when it came and here they are. Unfortunately I only have the camera phone at home right now so you'll have to forgive me.

Very nice!!! that has a very good look to it. Now if you could get that with a folding PSG-8 stock you'd be all set. . I was going to go with a G36 conversion eventually, but in this configuration, I will definately have to do this instead.

My only recommendation is for a better scope. I don't think that little leupy will give you enough magnification for what she's capable of. I'd reccommed some nice german optics to go on that nice german gun. A Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20 would fit nicely...

Thank god for google. Looks like some guy on the HK forums are doing them. $375 for the stock plus shipping. He can do a wood grain look of the pistol grip for another $50.

"Tbostic" does amazing things with the G36 and SL8. There are many pics of his conversions.

I looked at the conquest, but I actually like the lower power scope. Its fine for <300m shooting and thats all I'm gonna do with it anyways.

That I like. I've always gravitated toward the esthetics of the PSG... mucho donero though. That and the thumbhole wasn't condusive to my hands so something had to change as well. What kind of groupings are you getting?

With the G36 stock I got MOA with bulk Remi 55gr rounds. I'm gonna try to work up an 80gr load over the winter.
