The Unofficial Dominion Arms Outlaw Thread

i don't care when the boat gets here, but rather when pre-sales start happening. i was able to jump on the first order of grizzly's, then watch all the chaos unfold when they were sold out. you know i'll be ordering mine when the word gets out.

on another note...no chance of getting the .22 with a wood stock is there?

Alrighty then.

I just signed up for the Canada Ammo newsletter to see when preordering starts on the outlaw.

I noticed it asked if I was a CSSA member (not), but not if I am a NFA member (family membership).

I guess us loyal NFA members don't count.

Camp defense, opportunity shots on grouse and bunnies, maybe even something bigger (yotes and such), wouldn't be bad for home defense either. And of course a great hiking gun, capable of shooting flares, bangers, slugs and what have you in a very compact package when you're just out for a hike and don't want a full sized rifle with you.

Pretty much anything the 12 inch grizzlie/dlask guns are for.

I kind of like the external hammers. I like being able to drop two shells in and then carry it around knowing that if a bear does jump out or the like you're ready to go, but the gun isn't cocked until then.

I'm fussy like that :)

X2 foxer.
i have a savage 24 22mag/20ga and i do the same thing grouse hunting. drop 2 in and i know i'm "safe" till i #### the hammer back. and yes i know its still considered loaded and no i don't drive around like this, only when walking in the bush. a nice feature i'd say

If a bear jumps out at you at 10-20 yds. Do you have the speed and presence of mind to #### both those hammers before you are Lunch? I would take a double Hammerless cocked and saftied any day.

Probably not but hopefully with a little practice and yes in that order :)

If you haven't got the presence of mind, hammer or not you're in trouble.

Walking around with a cocked firearm (especially if you're with other people) is just an unacceptable risk for me personally. That's just me tho, i'm not saying you shouldn't if you feel it's safe in your situation.

However - if that's the way you prefer it - just #### the hammers when you load it and you're set.

Isn't that what a Safety is for? Can't see doing any bird hunting (or any Hunting) successfully by walking around with an uncocked firearm.

The Norinco Coach gun has a safety and from the picture it appears this gun has one too. However for bear defense or similar activities where the gun is loaded and carried on your shoulder then I wouldn't trust just a safety. Somehow I don't think the Dominion Arms gun has intercepting sears. ;)

Oh there's lots of hunting you can do without walking around with the gun cocked, but if i actually am hunting i may very well have it cocked and ready to go... but if i'm just out hiking for the day, as clay said i just don't trust the safety.

If you do, and you prefer it cocked, then by all means when you load it just pull back the hammers and throw the safety on. But I prefer to have that as an option, and like i said thats just me.

Do we get a special deal on drop leg holster?

Can't wait for them to show up, I'll need to rig something like this to the KLR :D

On a side note, I really want that bike!!!

CANAM: if I were you I would bank on these being a hit in the US as well.

I posted the pics on a mostly American truck site and a bunch of guys jumped all over it, and were asking for links to the sale page:D
