i been shopping around for a sks for about 8 months now, only one i find is russian one, and the russian one is taking forever to get here.

what ever happen to the norinco SKS, i thought norinco is making new sks for export. why there is no shipment from norinco?

you missed the last shipment of norinco last winter , albeit it was rather small , the price range from $200 -225 .

this year we (CGNers) been focusing on the russian , mainly bcos its being sold at dirt cheap price , ranging from $169-225 .

maybe the dealers figure that it would be a tuff sell , selling norinco while russian are avail or they didnt want to flood the market , what ever the case maybe .

anywho, the russian are finally here at frontier for $225 and a larger shipment at the end of the year for $169 and up .

I e-mailed John at Marstar, asking when they'd be in and he replied that they are EXPECTED at the end of the year. They're still listed on the website for $139.00:dancingbanana: not bad at all. Or you could get one on the EE for about 40X that price....

Quote from Marstar site "Note: 'stock' (availability) refers to whether or not the firearm is currently in stock. We receive shipments on a regular basis and update these pages as items are restocked. Please contact us if you want a model not shown here. "

there is still hope cos its still on the site where as the yugo SKS which disappeared early last year (from the site) means .... yup , no hope of having them brot in.

I emailed them a few weeks back, was told the Norincos ETA was at least 6 months to a year. Here is the quote (Oct. 21 2008):

*SORRY NONE ARE CURRENTLY PRODUCE ....WILL BRING THEM IN ASAP ....ETA=6 MONTHS TO A YEAR .THANK YOU !! *

Haven't been in "current production" since the 80s if you don't count the SKS-D, SKS-M and the "04" serial number batch abominations.

im confused with that statement cos on norinco site it shows SKS avail in reg , "M" and 5.56 mm .

The problem is that the SKS are in PLA warehouses and it is a royal PITA to get them out, even for Norinco. The price is not great either.
