EDMONTON, AB M14 Clinic, Sat 08 Nov- Register here!

Holy cow! $ 2.60 for a syringe ? Darn, maybe I'll just walk along the Beaches area of Moronto, Bantario and find some syringes washing up on the beach. .....

Or maybe some East Hongcouver GunNutz could just re-use the found ones on East Hastings... Rinse them off and fill them with grease and now we are good to go.

Okay, jokes aside, I've got to find a cheaper source for potential grease syringes.

Now regarding the sources for 8 thou shim stock, maybe some local Edmonton CGNutters might chime in here....

The Syringes I would love to get are the ones from countycomm down in the states. They are cheap and they also include a case to store the syringe in so no leakage or dripping issues.

SOSA: I am in for the pizza, and I will bring cash for it. I have gotten all the items from Hungry's list and not much more, so I hope that I can beg and borrow from some of you if I need to. I see there is some talk about syringes and grease. I assume that I will bring cash for that and buy it from someone.

Hungry: I was wondering if you are able to bring a copy of the DVD that everyone seems to be talking about. I would like to have a copy. I tried downloading it but it doesn't seem to work.

I am looking forward to this and thank you in advance to everyone involved. I look forward to meeting you all on Saturday

Just to let everyone know about Countycomm... I would love to get other stuff from them. The problem with them is that they do not and will not ship to Canada... some custom issues they said. They are looking in to possible shipping to Canada but not anytime soon. The website is great and there is a lot of little gadgets. There is my 2 cents worth

I'll put the WMV files on my laptop and bring it to the SG clinc. Show up with a USB flash drive (400mb free space) OR a blank R/W CD/DVD and you can take the files home with you.

For Sale at the SG Clinic

1 - M14 John Masen Scope Mount - $80
1 - M14 ProMag Scope Mount - $80

Nothing wrong with the mounts, I just don't like the big knoby screws they come with, hence I also sold my SA 3rd gen mount as well.

PM me with your list of "For Sale Items" and I'll update this post until 1200 05 11 08. After that I'm AWWL.

This will give everyone an idea as to how much cash to bring!

Okay, I've sourced some 12 mL curved tip syringes from CalVet Supplies, just google them. They charge $ 0.45 for each one. I'm hoping to order about 100 of them, but I dunno if they will arrive in time for my departure to Edmonchuk. So I'll keep all of you posted. The mailing for each syringe is not worth the cost. So if you can get to a Lee Valley, then the $ 2.60 cost might be worth it. I'll bring grease for all of you to charge / fill up your syringes. Trust me, a 12 mL syringe of grease will last your M14 shooting / cleaning needs for 10 years. I'm not joking !

I've got some Marstar Guide rods and various stuff. I'm going to bring everything and see what happens. I'm still not sure if I want to strip one of mine for the short barrel or just buy another one. Oh well decisions decisions....

Good thing is, I have a syringe somewhere... got it from mom (she had them left over for the dog's meds)

9mikemike stopped by today to drop off his rifle which Erin is going to work on, he had a baggie full of parts to be installed too. If someone can help my wife with that, it would be great.

A USGI fiberglass stock is on my wish list too. and I might take a look at one of those mounts too, Montey.. just remind me to pull the scope off my Enfield before Erin and I make the trip to the Grove.

Hungry, I am still in. Could you send me the registration and I will coff up the cash when we see each other again!!

Sooooooo Looking forward to it!!!!

Hungry here: Don't worry about the registration form at all. I'll hit you up for the cash when I see you. I realize that you are rolling in money after returning from Asskrakistan. :D

I am looking for park solution in Edmonton.
And I need it for the SG M-14 clinic on Saturday.
Just got the tank today, did not think it was going to be ready in time, but it is!!!:slap:
So now I need park solution,
Any ideas???
wcmd

wcmd: We need some muriatic acid (to strip the old finish), that's a Can Tire purchase and it's not expensive. Then we need a few ounces of park solution (I can bring this , but I would rather not fly with it (for obvious reaasons)....

And of course, a 5 gal can of H2O is needed for rinsing off the metal parts, we will also need some containers to wash and pour the liquids around, especially since we don't have a sink and running water.

Thoughts ?
