Alberta side from Dawson Creek question

My son and I are headed up there on Tuesday to try and find him a late season moose and mulie buck. Are the attacks on the gas wells affecting access on the oil service roads?

I am unsure about the access,but we have hunted the area for the past five years,and until last year,we used to see a dozen to two dozen bull moose in a week of hunting.Last year we hunted hard for a week,and only saw one bull moose between the four of us.Two of our crew were there this fall,and did not see a single bull moose.The mule deer numbers are also down drastically from previous years in the area that we normally hunt.Hopefully you will have more luck finding a bull moose and a good buck than we have had recently.

I hope the week goes well, we haven't been there since Oct 2006, I heard the winter of 06-07 was really hard on game numbers. In 06 I saw likely close to 10 good bulls.

Saw three moose in three days between Dawson and Fort St. John back in spring this year.
