Im looking into Buying a JAE Stock for a m14

Any Dealers on CGN carry em.?
Id rather not go thru the USA to buy one.

Man them were some Fast Replys :) Thanks.

Anyone have and use the JAE 100 on there M14s?

How do you like them?

What i like is the way the Action Beds into the JAE Stock looks well thought out.
I dont mind Paying good money for something, if it not only makes the gun look great but Improves accuracy to!

i beleive no stock will improve your accuracy, it'll just change the overall balance of the gun

and no i dont have one

I would argue, that changing the stock could have the potential to improve the shooters comfort level with the firearm. In turn this would improve the shooters ability to maintain their target.

I would also argue that these kits advertise improving the mounting of the receiver to the stock, this would make a more stable platform and possibly improve accuracy as well.

I do not owe a custom stock for my m14, but i have noticed in the handling of different firearms, that I prefer a pistol grip.

that's strange, i just can't stand pistols grips (except on pistols of course)

I agree with you 100%.
By putting my M14 into a JAE stock I have created a 1/2 moa shooting rifle.
I can change the group size dramaticly merely by tightening up or loosening the 2 screws that hold the action keepers in place.
The JAE stocks are quite heavy in comparison to the chu wood that most M14s come with, heavier than the walnut that the Springfields come with as well, but the fit and feel is unbelieveable. I have a Gen 1 on mine, the Gen 2s are more adjustable and user friendly, and come with barrel tensioners.

There are 2 authorized dealers for JAE in Canada. Us and Wolverine. Both of us have orders inbound.
Just so no-one is shocked, these stocks are NOT for those with thin pocketbooks.

I'm happy you both disagree with me, I'll have to switch stocks to see but sadly enough I'm "thin pocketbooks"-ed so no JAE for me, at least not before a while

I have one on my M14, and love it. I like it so much that I have on on order for my Rem 700 (8 months and counting). They're not cheap when I ordered it the dollar was par, now I'll be looking at a 25% increase. And they're still saying delivery in Feb (maybe).

are you serious? it's been 8months you ordered and delivery is due february? I guess since it's your second they are up the hype

JAE changed some features and made several improvements on their M14 stocks. The newer 1s are called Duh;) Gen 2.
They were just finishing the prototypes for SHOT show 2008 in Feb, so some of us ordered some. The Gen1s like I have are great, the Gen2s will have more adjustability, and features like extra rails and a barrel tensioner built in.
Delivery has been slow, JAE is a very small manufacturer, and the release of their JAE700 stocks should be soon as well.
Not knocking the Troy, Sage et el stocks but the JAEs are not nearly as "cheese graterish" and actually do improve the accuracy or the rifles.

And yes that really is a Leupold MK4 on my M14.
Despite what many claim, these Norc rifles have tremendous potential

oh but i do believe too that they have potential, they're just a "money pit" like gnmontey's signature says, just look at all you've invested on yours!

My "money pit" weighs 14.5lbs, my buddies Sage stocked rifle is a couple lbs less for sure.

Charles , you hit it on the head, they ARE money pits:)

I look at gunpowder about the same as a junky looks at coke, both are addictive as hell and expensive. just 1 is legal and 1 isn't

My groups shrunk instantly by putting an AICS stock on my Remy 700. Could be the stock, could be the fit and comfort, all I know is it worked wonders.

yes, more, keep quoting my ignorance, it'll get me learning

and btw, bout cocaine and guns, lets hope not the two of them are illegal one day (well lets keep cocaine bad and guns good ;))
