I transformed this thread into a Things you should know about your Benelli Nova and will add new stuff as I test it out.
-Your 12GA Nova can be drilled and tapped, whatever random gunsmiths will say. There is a special steel bar inside the synthetic frame placed on purpose for drillin' and tappin'
The mount to use, as suggested by Benelli, is the Weaver 423M (less than 15USD including shipping from Brownells)
From inside, you can see the steel bar:
+4mag extension (now 8+1 2¾ shells capacity), bought perfectly legally from Brownells. It was listed at 45USD, add the shipping and converted to CND$ it end up costing 91CND. The box was opened at customs canada, for which I was charged an extra 12CND. Altough the 100USD rule applied by US Dept. of Commerce doesnt apply to shotgun parts (meaning you wouldn't be able to buy any shotgun parts from the US even under the 100USD value) I talked to Brownells International sales Dept. and they said US Dept. of Commerce couldn't care less about this item. Same goes for chokes (as I have been told.) Provided with this Choate mag extension are an extra spring and follower, but I used the original follower
I don't think my words can describe fit and finish on this item better than a picture.
