Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

Yes, DlaskCo threaded the barrel on Nemo's gun
about a year and a half ago,
and put a comp on it (yes, made by Dlask).

Gas-boosting is a strong secondary effect of that comp
so it successfuly replaced the original gas-booster.

Fat pimp Palinak bought a Valmet (308) almost 2 years ago
that was a piece of krap and not cycling for sh!t with any ammo.
I encouraged him to bring it to Dlask, who solved the problem
just by installing one of those comps (and nothing else).
Now, from what palinak says, the gun cycles every ammo you can feed it.

This is a little worrying. Could it cause increased wear on a CZ858 by increasing cycling pressures?
 
Looking at you the other day I'd say the Fat O Meter is definitely in the RED when you are attached to it.

anyways as of next week I'll be in Czech and Slovakia for two and a half weeks ..... I'll try to butch up overthere so I can fit your profile of me ;)

The difference in pressure is not bigger than other other muzzle devices
that worked on VZ's lately with many thousands of rounds thruogh them
(Czech military muzzlebrakes, Krinkov type gas boosters,
Noveske type FH, and God knows how many others).
Dlask put that comp on VZs, 305's and other guns before,
but it made it just now on internet since there was a request for them
and dealers were very slow or not interested in bringing them.
