As a former bee keeper, they do want to get out to eliminate and it does not have to get that warm. If they are caught out in the cold, breath on her and she may be able to return to her hive. Of all the animals I have raised they are by far the most interesting. Their social behavior and their genetic makeup is such that having never seen a bear, they will react to the shadow, and though never in a forest fire, smoke calms them and they gorge on honey in anticipation they will be force to abandon the hive.
