If you meant just keep the range up I think the BCRA could do a good job.I would like to see it opened to the public like Ben Avery though. It sucks that it doesn't get used as much as it should. It would definately increase BCRA memberships!
Yes the Ben Avery is an awesome facility but really who are we really kidding ? only ourselves, but we can have our dreams.. Just the day to day management would fall to BCRA with the hope of making it into world class shooting center, Like Ben Avery in Phoenix:

I have been there and its a beautiful facility used by all.
Sometimes we have to think outside the box.Yes the Ben Avery is an awesome facility but really who are we really kidding ? only ourselves, but we can have our dreams.
So I just got off the phone with the CFC regarding my ATT renewal. The lady said there'd been changes in the last 30 days or so, and that now 'all approved ranges' does not include military ranges, and that I'd need a written letter from the commanding officer just to apply for an ATT to shoot on a military range? She said specifically to look at the recent changes made to section29 of the firearms act. I told her that as far as I know, Vokes is not actually a military range, that it is under lease by the military from the BC gov't, but what about the Nanaimo range? In short, wtf?
The Swiss - Canadian Rifle Club in Coquitlam is a great place to shoot, has beautiful facility and 300yards center fire.
