10/22 Buttler creek folders

Just picked up a folding buttler creek stalk today for the 10/22. Brought it home and threw it together, compared to the last one I owned the stock doesn't fit that nicely to the barreled action. The barrel and action move in the stock with a little force and the hinged butt is a tadd loose for my liking. I think I'm going to take her back tomorow for an exchange, has anyone else experienced this quality? Maybe this is a Friday afternoon or a Monday morning stock?

I noticed a loose fit with mine as well. I put a barrel band on it and it seemed to snug things up though.

Dont'd bring it back expecting to find newer inventory as this stock has been banned from export to Canada for a few years. Take the time to make it fit properly by shiming inside the stock. Phil.

I did end of up exchanging it for one that did fit a little better, with less slop in the butt stock. But please tell me why they are going to be banned?

They are in fact banned right now and have been for a couple of years. The US govt. has refused the export of any folding or collapsible stock (except for shotguns) to Canada. They are completely legal in Canda to buy and possess. Phil.

If the Tapco stocks are showing up in Canada, they are coming in under the radar as no export license would have been approved for these. Phil.

That doesn't make much sense to me, you'd think the businesses there wouldn't be too happy with this.

Their not happy as the fairly solid Canadian economy could take lots of the excess inventory that is on hand right now in the USA. Phil.
