I recently had one of my followers cut down to make room for one more shell.

There are some minor feeding issues once this is done but I figured out a solution.
Here is a pic of an original mag and the modded one with one shell in each. There isn't a noticeable difference.

Once the mag is loaded to capacity the last shell sits at the wrong angle (almost horizontal) and subsequently catches on the lip of the mag preventing it from feeding.

This isn't a major problem because the shell usually pops up once the mag is inserted and if it doesn't a sturdy bump will do it.
I generally use this gun in matches so I want perfection.
I then added two pieces of magnetic tape (1/8" thickness total) to the front tip of the follower to change it's angle. This has solved the problem for now. In the future when finances permit I'm going to have new followers machined out of aluminum with the new angle.

The other pros for doing this mod are....you can close the action when the mag is empty, you can easily tac load a round when the mag is empty and the last round no longer stove pipes.
