Breda-made and Beretta-made Garand Rear Sight... any good?

Anyone know if Breda-made or Beretta-made Garand sights are good quality?

Are they a USGI equivalent? What's a good price for a set in excellent condition?

I love the ones on my Breda Garand! No complainst whatsoever - I'd definitely put them on an M14.

I have 2 sets of them and they are fantastic. Much better than the Norc originals for sure. I got them off eBarf from a guy in Italy.

Beretta received Winchester's tooling in order to produce the M1 and spares as a NATO standard rifle for Europe.

Of the several Garands I have owned, the only one I regret selling was a mint Beretta. Shot the best off all of them and was very well made and fitted.

Bingo....

As mentioned ...they weren't banging them out for war necessity and they made the best of Garands. One would collect US Garands for historical purposes but if you wanted a nice Garand for just that, the Italian ones had the nicest finish.

Buy the sights they are of good quality and are as good or better than USGI.
Almost all Breda and beretta made parts are marked .
I know that Breda marked their elevation pinions on the inside of rge pinion spindle and not on the outside like USGI .
If you find a unmarked elevation pinion it is most likely of Breda manufacture .

The Italian parts are every bit as good as USGI, and has been repeatedly posted, they weren't making them under pressure to deliver war goods.

I saw a photospread on how the aperatures were made. Imagine each sight aperature started as a short segment from a thin cross-section ring about 10' in diameter. Successive machine steps cut the elevation notches, machined the slider surfaces, cut the disk for the sight hole, drilled the hole itself and chopped it into individual parts. Very clever.
