I just picked this up at a local dealer .
Rem 700 chambered in 25 06 , BBL is 23 '' x 13/16 ''
look's to be in a BDL custom deluxe stock

Have not had a chance to get any pics yet , or shoot it :mad:. I think i have a tack driver ! Anyway I have never seen this configuration before & just wondered if it was a factory offering ? Or something somebody put together .
 
sounds like a BDL Varmint...many were made...I had one too....they are the only BDL Varmint in a long action chambering that I'm aware of.

Just because it's a heavy barrel doesn't make it a tack driver...

Got the same rifle in a short action [.308 Win] & have had it for many years. Shoots very well indeed & she's a keeper.
 
I am gonna take her out tomorrow I hope to be pleasantly surprised . In any case it's clean & I paid a fair price . will update with accuracy results for those interrested . :D
 
Is that the one Jacques had listed on the EE? What did you pay?
Is the barrel 23 inches long ang the diameter 13/16, or is the barrel 23 & 13/16 long. Most were 24 inches.

No bought this one locally .

$575 with an old tasco 6 - 18 scope , a box of federal premium , 117 grn Nosler AB's & a soft case .

23 '' long 13/16 dia . Maybe it has been trimmed , there is no crown .
