They are the only load that I have tried that cause jams in my 10/22.
Never had an ammo related failure in my 10-22, and the Wildcat ammo is about all I use.
It was cheap. I stocked up.
Try the stuff. It may or may not meet your needs. It meets mine.

I can get a great deal on a few bricks of the white box Wildcat .22 lead ammo.
Pardon my ignorance, but define "deal"?![]()
Thanks. I guess I'll just buy the ammo and if my 10/22 doesn't like it I can always keep it for the Cooey.
$45 including tax for 3 bricks. Picked them up already.
One box of 50. 39 would not fire. Tried many of the 39 no-fires in two other rifles with no luck. Never any issues firing with any of the three rifles either. E-mailed company with code on end flap. No responce at all. Cheap junk is still junk. Best of luck.
Cheers

Ouch! You may have had one of the recall batches I read about.
I've tried just about every type of 22LR in my Marlin 7000 and never found any brand that was crap. Some seem cleaner and more accurate but they all fired. My last box of Wildcats did have a cartridge with primer and nothing else in it ! The thing is with 22's, even good ammo is cheap so unless you are planning to just shoot at nothing all day and waste the stuff, get the better brand.
I noticed the most expensive .22lr ammo at Canadian Tire was Remington Thunderbolt for 34 dollars/brick. The second most expensive was Blazer and Winchester was the cheapest around 19 bucks. I don't usually buy ammo a Canadian Tire but for .22 I figure I might try something.
What do people think of Remington Thunderbolt? I have an ammo addiction! LOL
If you need to use cheap ammo, Federal bulk packs are the best way to go. The only problem I've had with them is that they don't open up too well on gophers
Glad I bought some of those Butler Creek steel lip 25 rounders before the big "embargo"!
