Overall they are a nice looking 1911.... Even nicer with the wood stocks installed...
Although. the first thing I'd do is swap out the lame extended slide stop for a standard one just like I did on my Norc NP-29 [single stack 1911A1 in 9mm].............

I ordered one, still waiting on it. I showed my friend a picture and he thought it was a springfield. I ordered the blued one. It's nice to see some real pics of it to tied me over.

Handled one of the new series 'enhanced' two tone Norc 1911A1's today at a local gunshow. Dealer had it on his table for $399.... While I'd still rather have the bone stock USGI copy/version, if I was to go for one of these newbies it would be the all blued version. Don't like the looks of the two tone in person. Love the new sites, very functional. Barrel looks nicely throated. But the lame extended slide stop definitely has to go!
I'm no expert, but I consider myself somewhat handy with a camera. While the composition of the photos is good, important parts of the image are too dark. Also, the white balance is off (the camera is misreading the temperature of the light source - ie: fluorescent lights typically fool camera WB (white balance) sensors. The images look way too yellow.
You want to get soft, diffused light - so you don't get harsh shadows, and blown out highlights. You want the lighting to be fairly even for product shots, so details are easily discernible.

To get the thread back on track you can use nearly anything for a soft box, there is a thread in the Picture post about homemade ones. I use my living room table which has frosted glass on top and a small wood shelf underneath.
this is using said table.
