Can Tire Blazer Ammo vs CCI Blazer...

Can Tire has this Blazer ammo that comes in a brick of 525...

Does it have anything to do with the CCI Blazer ammo? If it doesn't it sure seems like a copy with the same colours and pattern on the box...

Sorry for yet another question but has anyone tried the Can Tire Blazer ammo? LOL

Right now I seem to be stocking a couple thousand rounds in xperts, 333's, federal bulk packs (525), stingers, and yellow jackets. Really should try and whittle that down to something both my .22's like, but variety is the spice of life, and .22's are cheap. :)

Blazer is CCI, or was......The company is effectively CCI/Speer, with Blazer claiming to be "CCI primers and Speer bullets" in most respects.

That said, for rimfire the CCI Minimags have always seemed to "ignite" and feed much more consistently for me than have the Blazer's (the difference in the priming of the Blazer rimfire ammo is "one of those things").

The ammo you describe is the same old Blazer, anyhow. I'd rate it a bit better than the Federal A.E. 40-grain round-nosers.

Thank you sir! :)

I can get a great deal on a few bricks of the white box Wildcat .22 lead ammo. My question is before I buy it, has anyone used it in a stock 10/22 and how reliable is it?

Thanks In Advance!

My 10/22 eats that stuff with no issues. Eats anything not fed through a particular 30rd mag with no issues.

Thanks. I finally got to try them out in my 10/22 using four 25 round steel lip mags. I loaded each mag twice and didn't have one issue after 200 rounds. Accuracy could have been a bit better but that may have been the shooter. :) I am satisfied with the stuff.

If you are adventurous, you may now want to try the Remington Cyclones...;)

I picked up a 525 round Blazer brick today. Anyone else hate the fact that this ammo is just sitting loosely in one box? I prefer to know how much ammo I have left and having them stored in their own little 50 round boxes.

I've only bought them by the 50-shot box...go figure. BTW, some high-quality Lapua stuff comes the same way...

I have shot literally thousands of wildcats without any real problems. Odd misfire, but that is the par for the course with cheap .22's. I have also used a lot of Remington Cyclones. For a little more money, the cyclones are the way to go in a 10/22. I would take CCI over any of them though.

Why on earth would you buy a box of bulk ammo and then complain the ammo is in bulk?

All the other 500 round bricks I have purchased have been in their own 50 round boxes then inside the big box. I buy bulk for the price but prefer the bulk that comes packed like Winchester, Remington, etc. You can understand what I mean right? I just don't like them all loose in one box.

Well OK, but how were you expecting to find 525 rounds in 50 round boxes?:) Or this was the very first time you actually bought a "bulk" box?

"Bulk" usually refers to loose rounds, "brick" is the term refering to 50 round boxes in a larger box.

I think we are on the same page now.

Here I thought I was right and wondered what you were talking about! LOL My bad, bulk vs brick. I was looking at brick as bulk which it kind of is but you're right.

No biggy! Save/pick up the plastic CCI boxes. When you buy "bulk" you can transfer the loose ammo to them.

I find that my 10/22 doesn't like the Remington thunderbolts. never get a tight group and it has tryed to do a couple double feeds. For cheap ammo I use american eagle, $20.00 a brick and The groups are aright for plinking ammo and never a feed issue
