Hey all Im looking for a revolver in .22WMR just for fun and pest control. I was wondering if anyone ells other than ruger make one in a single or double action. I thought there would be more out there than what I can find.

So what is wrong with the Ruger new mod single six . It was the first H/G I ever bought in 1979 . Still have it I have fired thousands of rnd with no problems . But yes there are other manufactures . S&W make a 22mag

Trapper's ATC will ok "pest control", but you'll need a licensed trapline (and a compliant CFO, good luck, nothing they fear more then a citizen with a gun). S&W makes WMR revolvers, I have a Colt SA at home in this caliber, Dan Wesson made some, Taurus, H&R, Charter Arms. Probably more I can't remember off the top of my head. - dan

Thanks guys. As far as Ruger goes, I like them. I was just looking for other options, thats all. And pest control will just be done on my own land. I dont plan on taking the rig anywhere ells.

PEST CONTROL!? You might take out a mall full of people or something man, you should know better

Oh and I own a Single Six with interchangable .22mag/.22LR cylinders and I find it extremely accurate... only fired it to 20m so far with great groupings!

What you are discussing is illegal. Restricted weapons can only be used on a range certified for their use.

Discussion of illegal activities is not permitted on this forum.

I'm afraid that they are right. Handguns can only be discharged at a designated and approved range. It's covered in your Restricted course if you've had that.

You'll want to shop for a .22 rifle for pest control. Being unrestricted you can shoot them on your own land without the legal issues that come with restrictied category. If you wanted to keep it compact there's some "carbine" styles with relatively short barrels.

Go roll yours eyes somewhere else ...Jerk

Yep... so ban silencer threads, 'hi-cap' mag pinning threads...etc.

Hey smart guy...before you start leading a newbie down the wrong path maybe you should read the rules yourself:slap:

"The following rules will be strictly enforced. Violation may lead to temporary or permanent suspension from the site.

(1)Any discussion and/or promotion of illegal activities. ..."

You either didn't take or missed an important part of your restricted course... Hell, I don't agree with it either, but discharge a handgun on your own property, off a certified shooting range, and you risk losing your right to own firearms permanently, and sadly likely a criminal charge. Sad state of the world we live in, but the state of things nonetheless.

yep, the man controls what goes into the pocket, what goes into your home, and what and where you spent your free time, but if you sold all your guns, let your PAL expire, you could take up all kinds of new and exciting hobbies with more rights...:D
