Casey does excellent work - I've had him do some AR work for me in the past and can attest to his attention to detail. Having said that, I also know Keith Cunningham (at Milcun) and can personally vouch for his smithing abilities both with the AR platform and on bolt guns... Either one will serve you well.

Exactly!! What is it that you're wanting to do. Most of the stuff can be accomplished with a mininum of tools and even knowledge. The hardest thing is probably installing a barrel and even that is dirt simple.

You need a machinist not a M16 Armorer.

you could get a 20BR barrel - and have someone put a barrel extension on it -

your biggest issue is the size of the the bolt face - and the mags

It looks like a 458 SOCOM bolt would work.
Possibly a barrel extension to match.

Just found out today, SOCOM bolt won't work, not strong enough.

Sorry for the hijack, but what is 20BR? I googled it, and looks like some sort of high velocity small calibre?
