How crazy is demand for ARs Stateside?

Distribution issues

I talked to a friend in Vegas today and he said the same thing. Everything is going off the shelves at such an alarming pace. He said a distributor friend ordered 8000 Pmags a while ago and they are gone.

He has also heard stories of semi truck loads of ammo going as fast as they get it to the store. One story includes 7 semi loads of ammo that were sold prior to taking them off the truck!

Lots of paranoid people out there right now.

That kind of reminds me of the mid 90's when the US government was thinking about imposing a limit to the qty of ammunition you would be allowed to buy... we were visiting some friends in Arizona and I stopped at Shooters World... Before that (and since) I have never seen guys in pickup trucks lining up to load ammunition. Who cares for crates when you can buy a pallet (and the store were giving away free hazard decal:eek: )

You walk into a little gun store in the U.S. and see skids of each calibre and weight.

You walk into a large gun store in Canada and see 1/2 skid of everything together.

I will likely sob when I see all the stuff I can't bring home with me this Christmas.

If I have to pay three thousand bucks for a Czeck built AR, if I pay ten bucks more, can I at least get proof marks stamped onto it that it was built under Nazi occupation?

That aught to drive all the milsurp collectors batty.

My brother is in Dallas, Texas. There's nothing more in stores really than there is at a good one here.

Most anything you want, they can get by ordering.

Else, it's 'what you see on the shelves sir.'

Just came back from the Reno gun show.....they are crazy when it comes to prices for guns, parts and ammo. The ammo dealer was grossing $500,000.00 per day! The funny part is most of them voted for OBAMA!!!! Most of the AR15 manufacturers have government contracts to build....DEMO guns to train foreign soldiers. The guns can't shoot live ammo. So future sales will be delayed until contract is completed. They still believe we can't own guns in canada!!!!!
