Win SX3 or extrema2

In a three inch gun I am a Beretta fan, but given the above choice I would go to the SX3. I like to shoot in the off season and I have seen far to many extrema 2s that will not cycle even heavy target loads. Maybe they will eventually cycle if one feeds them a flat or two of magnum stuff. Since you mentioned the extrema, I assume that you want 3 1/2 in? If you're OK with 3 in. there are many choices. If it is a must for 3 1/2 I would go to a SBE2.

Ironically I am the exact opposite of Covey Ridge. I own both the SBEII and Xtrema2 (K/O) and when I'm shooting 3.5" shells (geese) I always use the Beretta because of it's superior recoil absorption over the Benelli. When I'm duck hunting (3" shells) I use the Benelli for it's quick handling - especially useful for diver hunting.

Can't comment on the SX3 because I have no first hand knowledge but I have spoken with a number of people who have the gun and are really happy with it.

I do not think that we are exact opposite! For a dedicated goose gun, I would also choose the xtrema 2 with KO, for its superior recoil reduction with heavy loads, as you have also said. For anything other than pounding big honkers, it is just too much gun and from what I have seen, the brand new ones will not cycle target loads, even heavy target loads.
