I just bought a colt ar15 R6450, it comes with 3 colt mags but my questions is
will a RRA 10round 9mm mag fit into my colt????

thanks in advance

sub machine gun ;) the rr 10 round plastic fit well, the new 10 round stainless dont seat in quite as well but still function.

how do you know if it is a SMG? it has a 16in barrel, and was told it is a R6450? I thought the SMG was something different?

A real semi-auto Colt SMG (Colt Catalog number 634) has a factory 10" barrel and is stamped "SMG" on the lower receiver, others Colt 9mm AR are not real Colt SMGs.

But for your information, they use the same mags, and the RRA mag will also fit.

will the RRA 10round mags still fit in them, and are they still millspec for trading out parts (uppers)?

thanks

Also, its caliber...being a pistol cartridge (9mm). Thompson M1 SMG (45ACP), HK MP5 (9mm), Colt SMG (9mm). The Colt Commando is also classified as a SMG despite it caliber(.223/5.56).

I don't see your point here, the Colt 6450 and the 634 are semi-auto carbine the 6450 is stamped "CARBINE" on the lower receiver and the 634 is stamped "SMG"

I dont know about you but for me a SMG is a fully auto capable firearm. the ones where talking about in this thread are clearly semi-auto only.

The real world!

I'm only telling you that the semi-auto Colt R6450 Carbine is not THE Colt SMG,
it's a semi-auto Carbine and that is a fact direct from the Colt catalog.

I have also posted a picture of a real Colt SMG so that one can see that it is in fact stamped SMG on the receiver, what else do you want?

And i also stated that they use the same mag.

I was just answering mpjustin question
