took cdp course today

Well i took the CDP course friday and sat, must say it was everything i had hoped for, lots of fun, laid back RO/instructor, .
Large movement towards self defence with a pistol, rather then ipsc run and gun.
Dont get me wrong i love my ipsc, its the F1 raceing of pistol shooting.
There is now 4 clubs in my area that shoot cdp and more the shoot

I'm glad you had a good time, we'll be going to do some more mini-matches in January. I'll keep you posted on dates and times if you're up to freezing your glock off!
 
We recently had 8 people certified for CDP with 5 also being certified as RSO's and instructors and have asked for permission to put on some matches at EOHC. Hopefully we'll get some going this spring.
 
NB around the Fredericton range are reportedly having CDP matches,...they had one or two this past season,...looks like fun. I hope to attend at least a couple of matches next season.
 
I agree, but we haven't heard back yet from EOHC if they'll let us run a match! We used to run winter IPSC matches there.
 
We will be running "DPA" shoots as well this winter at the Pembroke Outdoor Sportsman Club's indoor range. I haven't confirmed a schedule, but there will be one per month till April. I will post dates at a later time. Unfortunately we haven't got a website up yet.

The guys at Pembroke put on an awesome match at in a small space. Well worth the Hour and a half drive!

thanks for the feedback dinsdale. Glad you enjoyed the shoot. We will be having matches on the following days....Jan 17th, Feb 14th, Mar 14th and apr18th. Not sure the CoF, but it will be challenging and on course FUN!!

Will post the CoF and signup list at a later date.
