Coyotes that is !!

Anyone getting any?

I am heading out on Sunday, hoping to nail a couple.
Lots of gut piles around so I hope there will be a few on the move.

Justrealized about two days ago that when I sold mytruck last spring, I lefy my electroniccaller it !!! :mad::mad::runaway:

I have already asked Santya for one... he said I'll get one if hecan convince Rudolph to go by my house again !!! :D

Here is the plan.

I know for a few gut piles and the like in an are I hunted this past 2 weeks. Saturday being the last day, there are sure to be fresh piles.

I'm gonna set up high on the ridge and wait it out. with view on a few gutpiles. Hopefully setup an e caller, but you're right, they prett gluttoned now i'd say.

If I can get a couple as they are losing their belt buckles after their Sunday White tail gut pile dinner, I'll be pleased.

I am also contemplating another spot with many abandoned buildings that the yotes have been hanging out in,

this is the area I'll be in,

Nice country Sealhunter, Ive shot some good coyotes over week old gut piles.

They seem to come back to the kill sites for the memories of a good meal, or just hoping for more?.:D

Not to highjack the thread but calling any good in the late afternoons? Like most I work during the day but can get out the last hour of daylight would it be worth it?
 
yes last hour would be worth it. Go out, Sit for about 20 minutes and don't make a sound, let everything calm down. Then start calling....all the way until completely dark. I've had lots come in the last 5 minutes of light.
 
We called a few in around Blain Lake a couple days ago, only managed to shoot one though (shot at another, but missed). I'd still consider it pretty successful for a first time out calling.

Do you guys skin them? Or just leave them?

Well, I found out that it is illegal to hunt coyotes on the Sunday after the last day of a big game season. ??? :)

Tomorrow I am going to cut a load of wood, boil the kettle and see what happens with the 22 250 rearing to go, Ya never know when you'll fluke into one :)

I expect my first dedicated day won't be til next weekend
